Beta-stage draft
Terms of Service
Last updated: May 15, 2026
Eternity Guest is a private digital memorial and legacy archive. These Terms describe the relationship between you and Eternity Guest while the service is in beta. They are written in plain language and are not a substitute for formal legal advice. We will publish a final version before paid features launch.
1. Beta service
Eternity Guest is currently offered as a beta service. Features may change, be paused, or be removed without notice. We work hard to preserve your content, but during beta you should not rely on the service as your sole copy of irreplaceable material. Export tools are provided so you can keep your own backups.
2. Your account & security
You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for all activity under your account. Choose a strong, unique password, enable any additional protections we offer, and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend an account that shows signs of compromise to protect you.
3. Your content remains yours
You retain full ownership of every memory, photo, recording, written entry, and document you upload. By uploading content, you grant Eternity Guest a limited, revocable license to store, display, back up, and — where you have enabled it — process content with AI-assisted organization, transcription, and search, solely to operate the service for you and the people you invite. We do not sell your content, and we do not use private content to train third-party AI models.
4. AI-assisted features
Some features use AI to organize, summarize, transcribe, generate suggested chapters, and power semantic search across your archive. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete and should be reviewed before being shared. AI processing of private content is scoped to your account and is not used to train external models.
5. Executor & legacy access
Eternity Guest supports designating trusted people (executors, beneficiaries, or vault co-owners) who may receive access to specific parts of your archive under conditions you define. These tools are designed to assist with legacy planning but do not by themselves constitute a will, trust, or legally binding estate document. Consult a qualified professional for formal estate matters.
6. Privacy & sharing
Private content is private by default. You control who can view each memory, vault, and profile. Public profiles and shared memories are visible to anyone with the link or, where applicable, to search engines. Do not post content about other people without an appropriate basis to do so.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Eternity Guest to: (a) upload content that is unlawful, harassing, sexually exploitative, or that infringes another person's rights; (b) impersonate another person or misrepresent a deceased person's wishes; (c) attempt to access another user's account or content; (d) interfere with the service, probe for vulnerabilities outside a coordinated disclosure, or abuse rate limits; (e) use the service to send spam or unsolicited messages.
8. Moderation & removal
We may review reported content and may remove material, restrict features, or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a risk to other users. Where reasonably possible we will tell you why. Urgent safety issues may be acted on immediately.
9. Deletion & export
You can delete individual memories, vaults, or your entire account at any time from the app. Deletion removes content from active systems promptly and from backups within a reasonable retention window. You can export a copy of your archive before deleting.
10. Service changes & availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features. We will give reasonable notice for material changes that affect access to your content. The service is provided on an "as available" basis during beta, without warranty of uninterrupted operation.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eternity Guest is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice before taking effect.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Eternity Guest is established. The specific jurisdiction will be confirmed in the final version of these Terms before general launch.
14. Contact
